'Eilean Donan Castle'- Scotland

This is a very famous and much painted castle in Scotland. I aimed to capture the mysterious atmosphere of the place in watercolour. I painted this on site on an easel as I looked at the castle a few hundred yards away.

Painted this one on site 'en plein air' in the North West Highlands of Scotland looking towards the amazing Island of Skye with its characteristic profile.
