Heres my latest watercolour painted from a sketch that I made last month on one of our local beaches. Quarter Imperial size with Winsor and Newton paints. It was a cold day but bright and fresh. I didn't see any pirates!

I kept this much painted subject simple hoping that the atmosphere and tranquilty could be conveyed.

This is after Sir William Russell Flint one of my all time favourite watercolourists. This took me about 5 hours and is a 28cm x 19cms watercolour. I hope that I did him justice.

Castle Menzies.- Another pen and watercolour wash castle in Scotland from my recent trip.Its a 12" x 9" on hot pressed Saunders Waterford Paper. All Scotish castles have great character and are magical to sketch and paint. I will be returning quite soon.

Blair Castle Scotland

This is Blair Castle from a recent trip to central Scotland. Watercolour 8" x 6" painted outdoors on site. Its a great part of the world so I did a lot of painting and sketching while I was there.Can you spot the piper? More to come soon!

Edinburghs' Royal Mile

I visited Edinburgh a few weeks ago and this is a small pen and watercolour from a photo that I took while there. Its always busy with great views from the top!I hope that I captured some of the atmoshere.
