ABOUT ME
Hi my name is Pete Dimmock and amongst other pursuits I am also an artist painting mainly in Watercolours, Pastels Oils and Acrylics.
I first discovered watercolours during a holiday in Portugal where I met Gabriella, a lovely gentle lady who is an artist and infact owned the villa where I was staying..
She encouraged me to attempt a few paintings while there of the beautiful purple Bourgenvillia and the flowers and fruit that surrounded this picturesque mountain retreat.
I was soon hooked by the beauty of watercolour which I believe is the most difficult of the painting mediums.
Since then I studied art at Sunderland College, taken part in many exhibitions around the country and have sold many paintings of various compositions in a variety of mediums.
My motto is 'learning all the time' as I believe one should always be open to new ideas and find something new every day.
I now also specialise in 'cutting edge' Original art mainly in Acrylics on Canvas, always looking for something Unique and painting whatever comes from whithin, often abstracts or surrealist pieces.
My paintings often evoke complex feelings and reactions
I hope you enjoy my 'peacefulpaintings' .
Please sign my guest book and if you require any more information about Prices or Art Commisions then please drop me an e-mail and it will be my pleasure to help you any way I can!
